IT Chapter 2 is coming to a cinema near you and it looks nightmare inducing. The sequel to the 2017 hit is set 27 years after the original. The members of the 'Losers' Club' are now fully grown and fairly well-adjusted, considering the terror wrought on them in the events of the first movie by the nightmarish Pennywise. In the trailer we see them talking about their plans on what to do 'if it ever comes back'. But sadly for them, Pennywise does indeed return, saying ominously: "For 27 years, I've dreamt of you. I craved you. I've missed you!" It looks like a classic in the making.
The film sees Andy Muschietti return to the director's seat, while actor Bill Skarsgård reprises his role as the terrifying clown Pennywise.

Actor Reactions
Speaking at Comic-Con, James McAvoy admitted that he was genuinely afraid of Pennywise: "I had nightmares about Pennywise quite a lot. The only one I can really remember is I'm lying on my side in the bed and he was in bed with me.
"And he's stroking my back gently and saying, 'Wake up James, wake up.' And I was just terrified, pretending to be asleep.
"I just thought, 'I've got to pretend to be asleep, I've got to pretend to be asleep.'
"I had lots of nightmares about Pennywise but that's the one specific one I can remember."
And speaking earlier this year, Skarsgård told Entertainment Weekly the sequel will be even more shocking than the first. He said: "There's a lot to explore. You can change him [Pennywise] or make him wackier, but he's not really bound to continuity in the sense that a normal character would be.
Advert
"We can explore his unpredictability now that we've established the character for the audience.
"We can still sort of shock them."
How long is the film?
With a run time of 165 minutes - yep, that's almost THREE HOURS - IT Chapter Two is a mere 16 minutes shorter than Avengers: Endgame.
