Man left brutally disfigured after 20 minute slapping championship match

Man left brutally disfigured after 20 minute slapping championship match

The eventual victor of a slap fighting championship was left disfigured after taking so many hits to the face

A man was left badly disfigured after participating in a brutal slapping championship match which lasted for 20 minutes.

If you follow certain sports you might be aware that two people taking turns to slap each other in the face can get pretty competitive, and sometimes the only limits are how long someone can bear taking more punishment.

That's what happened at the RXF Slap Fighting Championship on Monday (16 January), with the glory of a shining gold belt and a prize pot of €5000 (£4400) going to the eventual winner after many slaps.

The rules to this contest are pretty simple, two people stand in front of each other and take turns slapping the living daylights out of each other until one of them can take no more punishment.

Stand your ground when it's your opponent's turn to hit you, slap your opponent in the face when it's your turn to hit them and try not to get knocked out on the first slap.

Comsa Sorin suffered serious disfigurement to his face during the 20 minute slapping match but emerged victorious.

It's a simple but incredibly painful contest, and this one was one by the incredibly determined Comsa Sorin, who was left brutally disfigured after enduring so many slaps to the face.

Making it all the way to the final, Sorin did eventually get his hands on the belt, but had to endure a half-hour of hell as his face was struck time and time again by his opponent and he was visibly in serious pain.

For 20 long, agonising minutes he was struck repeatedly on the side of his face as it continued to swell and become even more disfigured, but he endured the pain and eventually defeated his opponent.

In the end it was Sorin who threw the final slap, a blow so fierce that his opponent felt he had to throw in the towel and relinquish any chance at claiming the victory.

Although he had taken many slaps to the face Sorin carried on and won it.

People watching the competition were blown away by his incredible determination to stay in the contest, saying he was 'putting all stats into endurance' while Conor McGregor praised his 'absolutely gorgeous technique'.

Plenty more were seriously concerned about the health of the competitors and what might happen to them down the line, as one said 'wait till this man is in his mid 60s', while another said it was 'madness' that would 'lead to concussion', while a third called it a 'CTE speedrun'.

Despite just watching footage of a man get slapped in the face for 20 minutes and become horribly disfigured as a result, some people expressed an interest in signing up for a slapping competition themselves.

Lots of others wanted nothing to do with the sport, and questioned what the point of it was when contestants couldn't even defend themselves and were just hitting each other in the head repeatedly.
