World's biggest strip club hires robot suit that turns bouncers into 'Terminator'

The world’s largest strip club has enlisted the help of the ‘biggest security guard ever seen’ - and it’s really not messing about.

The 15ft-tall robotic suit may look like something you’d see in a sci-fi B-movie, but it’s actually the first line of defence for Las Vegas’s Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club. Check it out here:

The robotic 'doorman' was in town at the same time as the annual CES convention, billed as ‘the most influential tech event in the world’. I wonder what all those tech experts make of this, eh?

Posting footage of the unusual ‘doorman’, the Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club Instagram account, wrote: “ATTENTION #CES - come by @sapphirelv702 Friday Jan 6th to meet the BIGGEST security guard in Las Vegas….Mech 'The BOT' Johnson.

“He will be protecting us all from the AI bots taking over the Las Vegas #CES convention so that you may party worry free all weekend long!”

Peter Feinstein, the club’s managing partner, also added in an online statement: "It only makes sense that the world’s largest gentlemen’s club would have the world’s largest security guard."

As you can imagine, the robot has attracted plenty of attention online - replying to a post about the new ‘security guard’, one person said: “What in the terminator is this?”

Another wrote: “Nahhhh that mf look like the robot at the end of Sonic games.”

While someone else joked: “What's next… an adult robot club called the Power Strip?”

Well, it’s kind of funny you should say that, pal - because this isn’t the first tech-inspired stunt Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club has pulled.

Back in 2018, when CES was in town, the club unveiled robot exotic dancers.

The robots, created by British artist Giles Walker, had heads made from discarded surveillance cameras and body parts from mannequins and car spares.

The artist said: “I wanted to do something sexy with rubbish.” Fair enough.

The eerie looking fembots were also able to gyrate on a pole and mimic the moves made by their human counterparts.

Feinstein said at the time: “This is our 18th year for the club, and we felt we needed to come up with something new and unique.

“It used to be just nerds. But we wanted something more creative that would appeal to both men and women.

“These robots are interesting because of the technology, and they’re a lot of fun. They really are art pieces, originally.”
