Phillip Schofield has had quite the morning on live TV today, after having had an issue with a 'great, big, buzzling dildo'. Yep, not a sentence you'd expect to hear first thing on a Monday, is it?

Schofe was leading a discussion on vibrators on This Morning, following news that Sainsbury's has launched a new line of affordable sex toys to help its customers 'increase their sense of well-being'.

The supermarket stressed the products, which start at £8, will be stocked on the top shelf away from prying eyes.

Still, the idea of sauntering round the supermarket on a Sunday morning and placing a sex toy into the trolley next to a loaf of bread, a bunch of bananas and a few packets of Hob Nobs is a bit surreal.

But Vanessa Feltz, who also appeared on the show, claimed it wasn't just a bit odd, but would actually expose children to a whole world of sexuality.

"The last thing we want is a sex toy in our shopping," she argued.

"I think once they're there, they seem as if they're part of 'normal' desirable, everyday life."

Vanessa's fellow guest, journalist Rebecca Reid, couldn't see what the problem was, saying that it instead helped take away the taboo associated with sex and sex toys.

Phillip and co-host Rochelle Humes sided with Rebecca, saying you can just 'walk past them' if you don't want them.

"It's not as if there is some great, big, buzzing vibrator on the top shelf," he said.

"These are subtle. If you've got small children you can't really tell what they are.

Well, yes, they were subtle - that is until Phillip accidentally dropped them, sending them crashing to the floor.

"It vibrated out of my hand!" he said, giggling.

This Morning viewers rushed to social media to joke about what happened.

One wrote: "PSA: Phillip Schofield just said 'great, big, buzzing dildo' on pre-watershed, national television."

A second added: "Phillip Schofield just said 'great big buzzing dildo' at 11:15 on a Monday and that's my day done."

Another said: "A great big buzzing Dildo! Words I never thought Phil would utter.... Gordon the gopher will be spinning in his grave."

Someone else commented: "Phillip Schofield saying 'great big buzzing dildo' is the one of the best things i've ever seen."

Thanks Phil, that really was just what we needed for a boring, grey Monday like today.
