How to stay at first UK holiday park with on-site Wetherspoons from just £4pp a night

How to stay at first UK holiday park with on-site Wetherspoons from just £4pp a night

The pub is set to open its doors next month

You can stay in the holiday park with its very own Wetherspoons for as little as four quid per person per night.

In case you missed it, last month holiday park operator Haven announced it was joining forces with the popular pub chain and bringing a Wetherspoons to its Primrose Valley in North Yorkshire park in March.

Haven runs 38 holiday parks across the UK and Wetherspoons have signed an 'exclusive agreement' with them to run pubs there.

After the first one opens up in March, there are plans to open up more ‘Spoons in more holiday parks, but further expansion plans are being kept under wraps for now.

The first one to open will have space for 250 people and have to fight for footfall with Slim Chickens, Papa Johns and Burger King.

In a statement announcing the new partnership, Haven said: “The first Wetherspoon pub will open at Haven Primrose Valley Holiday Park in North Yorkshire, with the first pint to be pulled in March ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer.”

Haven hasn't revealed the name of their first 'Spoons yet, but they promised to tease more pictures and videos of the venue along with a unique carpet designed just for their pub.

Peter Blake, Chief Operating Officer at Haven, said: “We are thrilled to be the first holiday provider to partner with one of the UK’s leading and much-loved pub operators. This new venture underlines our dedication to growing our food and beverage partnerships and offering for our holidaymakers and holiday homeowners.”

While Michael Barron, Commercial Director of Wetherspoons, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Haven and are confident that the pub will prove popular with holidaymakers.”

If you fancy booking yourself a break and checking it out, you may be happy to learn that a holiday at Primrose Valley can be as cheap as chips.

The Sun did some digging to price up a holiday in April - when the Wetherspoons will have opened its doors - to find the best deal and found that some four-night stays start from just £55 and sleeps up to four people - so you’ll all only need to stump up £4 each per night. Not bad, eh?

If that’s not big enough for you, a six-person caravan can be booked for a four-night stay for £75, which is even cheaper again - working out at around £3 each per person per night.
