Steve-O has opened up about his battles with alcohol and why he's 'grateful' to have struggled with alcoholism.
The Jackass star has previously revealed the effects of excessive drug use and how he ended up staying awake for three days and inhaling nitrous oxide.
In 2021, the 48-year-old celebrated 13 years of sobriety from not only drugs but alcohol too.

Steve-O has battled with mental health issues along with addictions to cocaine, alcohol, ketamine, PCP and nitrous oxide.
The star has since opened up about why he's 'grateful' for having struggled with an addiction to alcohol.
In an interview with Graham Bensinger, Steve-O revealed why he's 'grateful for the severity of his ongoing bout with alcoholism - saying the severity of his affliction to the disease gave him no other option but to pursue sobriety'.

Steve-O said: "Yeah alcoholism is just f***ed up you know? And at the same time, I can say I'm like legitimately grateful to be an alcoholic because as f***ed up as it is, alcoholism really is I think the only disease where after you get the disease and treat the disease you end up potentially better than you were before you even got it.
"Any other disease you can only hope to get back to as healthy as you were. Right with alcoholism and because of alcoholism when you treat it like now you can become way better than before."
When questioned by Bensinger why he felt uncomfortable 'in [his] own skin', Steve-O explained he thinks it's 'a pretty standard trait of alcoholism'.

"One thing I didn't say about alcoholism before is that, I'm super grateful that I have it so f***ing bad that I don't need to wonder if I need to be involved in all of that stuff that sober people do," he continues. "Because the worst thing would be to kind of have alcoholism."
Steve-O went on to note he's glad he didn't only 'have alcoholism just bad enough that it really slows you down' and 'destroys your potential' and 'gets in the way of f**king'.
"But it's not so bad that it has to stop so just years, how many people do I know with just the years slipping through their fingers? And just, they're blowing it, just wasting everything," he said.
Steve-O resolved he feels 'fortunate' he 'had alcoholism so badly' he was forced to stop.
