Tyson Fury has one of the most recognisable voices in sports, and fans will be quite familiar with his deep, raspy voice nowadays.
But it wasn't always like that, with videos of his 'original' voice re-emerging, making people feel odd about the change.

Most people only have one voice their whole life, maybe it changes a bit during puberty, but that's about it.

Well, most people aren't Tyson Fury, who was punched in the throat so hard that it would permanently alter the way that he sounded.
Just a few years ago, Fury was sparring against a man called Ty, who hit him in the throat during their spar.
The 35-year-old spoke to Hits Radio, revealing: "It ended up getting a blood clot in my throat, and ever since then, I now sound like my dad."
His now iconic 'husky' voice is incredibly different to the one he had beforehand, which has gone viral in resurfaced footage of his first ever TV interview.

The interview was recorded in 2008, and shows Fury discussing his talents as a boxer.
Speaking to the interviewer, he said: "Not being big-headed or anything, but my trainer always says like as soon as I walked in the gym, he knew I had big potential and he knew I was good.
"I've always been quite good, you know?"

Fury went on to explain how he was born seven weeks premature, and after he arrived into the world, the doctor apparently told his dad: "He's here, but he's not very strong, and he's not very big."
Now 35-years-old, Fury has definitely become both very strong and very big.
He previously spoke about his changing voice in 2021, when he appeared in an interview on the YouTube series The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.
"It wasn't always like this though, this isn't my original voice," he said.
"If you go back and look at interviews from like 2010 onwards right up until about 2016, I didn't have this voice.

"One of my good friends, Ty Mitchell... We were sparring and he hit me in the throat real hard and I developed a blood clot in my throat.
"It messed around with my vocal words so this is why I talk like this now... Some would say it's quite sexy, I've been told."
After watching Fury's first interview, one baffled viewer commented: "Lmao, his whole look and voice and everything has since changed. It's crazy!"
Fury has since retired from boxing, but fans can, of course, still get their fill of his voice in his Netflix series, At Home With The Furys.
