They beat Porto 4-2 on penalties to reach their first Champions League quarter-final in 14 years.

Trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Portugal, a goal from Leandro Trossard just before half-time took the home game to extra time, as goalkeeper David Raya saved two pens.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta called it a 'magic night'.

CBS Sports were covering the game as lead presenter Abdo was joined alongside Carragher, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry, as per.

The group usually aren't afraid to take the mickey out of each other, however, fans thought the former defender went too far on this occasion.

Henry was stunned.

Post-match, Carragher had an Arsenal top on and suggested that Abdo should wear it.

The Manchester United fan declared her loyalty to the club and made it clear she wouldn't be putting it on.

"No I'm loyal," the presenter responded.

Carragher then dropped in a savage joke about Abdo's relationship with American boxing trainer, Malik Scott.

"Loyal to who? Not to Malik," Carragher said, bringing everyone on set to a complete silence.

Carra's joke did not go down well.

Fellow pundits Henry and Richards didn't know where to look.

Although Carragher tried to mask the awkward moment with his laugh, the panel simply weren't having it.

Abdo fired back: "What? Why would you even say that?"

While CBS Sports didn't include the full clip in their highlight reel from the evening, some viewers are calling for the Liverpool legend to be sacked from the network.

Taking to X (Twitter), one fan wrote: "Not just for Kate Abdo but for all women, CBS must absolutely sack Carragher for this cheap shot."

"Oi he's getting sacked man," a second commented.

"Carragher just ruined this legendary CBS lineup. He might get sacked for that," a third wrote.

"Oof this is so awkward. Carragher has been on Twitter too much, taken it way too far. The jokes aren’t even funny tbh I feel bad for her and her man," someone else said.

"I think personal lives should be a boundary next time. No need to fire him," another added.

LADbible has contacted a representative of Jamie Carragher and CBS for comment.
