British football fans are expected to spend three billion quid during Euro 2020, as well as drinking down as many as 10 million pints in one day when England open up their campaign tomorrow.
Yup, that's a lot of booze and cash. Still, we've all been cooped up for ages since the pandemic started, if people want to go out and drink millions of pints then who can blame them?
Also, it's good news for the hospitality industry, who have been seriously hit by this wretched pandemic.
On top of that, the experts have suggested there could be 10 million packets of crisps consumed and five million pizzas eaten as fans watch matches.
Basically, it's going to be absolutely class.
The tournament got started last night as Italy defeated Turkey three nil. Wales kick off their campaign today, England get started tomorrow against Croatia, and Scotland get underway on Monday afternoon.
It's a bit of a harsh slot for the Scots, particularly as it's their first international tournament since 1998.
The information comes from the Centre for Retail Research and their director Professor Joshua Bamfield, who told the Metro: "With £397 million forecast to be spent this weekend alone as the first games kick off, it's highly likely that the Euro 2020 tournament will create a substantial boost to the economy.
"With odds on England reaching the later stages of the tournament, it's likely that subsequent games will draw the same, if not more attention than this weekend's matches, and with that a similar level of spend.
"Should a British team reach the finals, the UK is set for a significant cash injection from fans' spending power."
Bamfield was conducting research for VoucherCodes.co.uk, and found the British spend on watching the big matches at home will be £334 million, with pubs set to profit to the tune of around £63 million.
Asda has reported that they expect to sell 500,000 chicken wings, 16 million sausages, and eight million steaks over the next month of Euro 2020 - which was delayed for a year because of the pandemic.
Retail analyst Clive Black, from Shore Capital, added: "A big sporting event like this will drive economic activity and supermarkets in particular will do well as sales of booze, party and barbecue food increase substantially.
"Confidence is already high and Euro 2020 will give the country a short-term economic boost. But if England go on to win, the morale boost will be priceless."
Not for the Scottish and Welsh fans, though.
