The Queen has been branded a ‘total legend’ after her hilariously awkward reaction to Alan Titchmarsh’s gushing tribute during an ITV special celebrating her Platinum Jubilee. Watch the clip here:
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations are in full swing, with a number of events lined up to mark her 70 years on the throne - including a special programme presented by Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham live from Windsor Castle last night (Sunday 15 May).

Along with international stars like Tom Cruise and Gregory Porter, the televised event also featured British celebs like Helen Mirren and Alan Titchmarsh, the latter of whom gave a stirring speech to honour Her Maj’.
“For over 70 years, there’s been a constant heartbeat of this nation,” he told the audience.
“And that heart belongs to her Majesty the Queen.”
But as the crowd broke into a round of applause, cheering and whooping in agreement, the camera cut to the Queen... who frankly couldn’t have looked less arsed.

In fact, she even gave a little shrug, which didn’t go unnoticed by amused viewers watching at home.
Royal Correspondent Charlie Proctor, who is Editor-in-Chief of Royal Central, shared a clip of the moment on Twitter, writing: “Alan Titchmarsh: ‘For over 70 years, there has been a constant heartbeat in this nation. And that heartbeat belongs to The Queen.’

The Queen marked 70 years on the throne on 6 February 2022, but has been enjoying a number of celebrations to mark the milestone over the past few months - with a special extended bank holiday weekend taking place at the beginning of June.
At yesterday's event, she was honoured with a standing ovation from the crowd, who rose to their feet to applause the monarch as she made her way to the royal box, flanked by Simon Brooks-Ward, a Territorial Army officer and dear friend of the royal family, and joined by her son Prince Edward.
