Pamela Anderson's son wishes she made millions from her sex tape

Pamela Anderson's son wishes she made millions from her sex tape

The tape made with Tommy Lee was the subject of a recent miniseries, which the former Baywatch star blasted

Pamela Anderson's son, Brandon Thomas Lee, has opened up about the impact of his mum's sex tape, admitting that he wishes she'd profited from it.

Anderson and Tommy Lee - the parents of Brandon and younger brother Dylan Jagger - had the infamous tape stolen from their home in 1995.

Their relationship and the sex tape scandal was recently dramatised in Hulu series Pam & Tommy, which Anderson said left her feeling 'violated'.

Now she's sharing her own version of events in new upcoming Netflix documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, which drops on the streaming service tomorrow (31 January).

In the documentary, the 55-year-old's kids open up about the impact the sex tape has had on them.

According to The Sun, Brandon recalled: "When I was a kid, I always thought that everyone knew things about me and my family that they really shouldn't have known, and everyone had this dirty little secret about my family.

"I remember in school if anyone brought up my mum I would just fight. I was very quick to flush with anger."

Anderson was offered millions for the rights to the tape but she refused, insisting she never wanted to profit from the theft. However, despite the childhood trauma, Brandon wishes she'd cashed in like other reality TV stars have since.

The 26-year-old - born the year after the tape was stolen - said: "I wish she would have made the money.

"She would have made millions of dollars if she had just signed the paper. Instead she sat back with nothing and watched her career fizzle into thin air. She was in debt most of her life."

Brother Dylan added: "Things would have been different if she had made money on that tape.

"But people made millions of dollars and she was like 'no' because she 100 percent cared about her family being OK and me being OK."

And of course, the nonconsensual spread of the tape was incredibly difficult for Anderson.

"I wasn't thinking when I was in Playboy that I was going to have kids soon and they would grow up and it would be embarrassing for them," she reflected.

"I always thought I'd tell them, age appropriate, but I never got the chance.

"They found out before I could really talk to them about it. But a tape of your parents having sex is a whole new level."

Anderson added that her sons had encouraged her to make the documentary so people could see the real her.

Speaking to The Guardian, she said: "They didn't deserve all the drama. But, despite the gene pool, they're perfect gentlemen.

"Looking at them today I get a little choked up because they're such good men."
