Oprah believes now that Queen Elizabeth II has passed, it's time for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to make amends with the Royals.
Following the death of Her Majesty, the iconic television presenter reflected on her 2021 bombshell interview with the couple shortly after they had stepped back from their royal duties.
While speaking to Extra, Winfrey said that now would be the right time to break bread with the family as grief unites them.

She said: "We're seeing the four of them together now in London. Is there a hope out there this, in some way, her passing would be a way to unify the family, maybe heal some wounds?”
Winfrey added: "I think in all families — you know, my father passed recently, this summer — and when all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of burying your dead, there's an opportunity for peacemaking ... and hopefully, there will be that."
While speaking with her bestie Gayle King on CBS Mornings, Winfrey also admitted that she was shocked by how candid the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in their interview with her.

She said: "My number one intention was just clarity on why did you leave? Some of the things that were revealed in that interview came as a surprise to me and those surprises are now referred to as bombshell, but I didn’t set out to do a bombshell interview."
"I set out to do an interview [and] have a conversation that would allow them to tell their story."
As the duo disclosed how their relationship came to fruition and falling in love, one of the more heartbreaking revelations was Markle’s comments about the racism she faced within the Palace.
Meghan was told by Harry that his family had mentioned 'concerns' over her son Archie’s skin colour before his birth.

And while Winfrey was left audibly gasping, Harry refused to divulge which family member had made the shocking remarks.
He said: "That conversation I'm never going to share. I was shocked."
He added: "There were some obvious signs before we were married that this was going to be really hard."
Following the interview, the Queen issued a statement expressing her sadness over the allegations while adding that the family would be addressing these issues privately.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning," the Queen said at the time.
"While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately."
She added: "Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much loved family members."
