Kanye West broke down on stage during a song appearing to reference his divorce from Kim Kardashian on his new album.

During a listening party for the new record at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, the 44-year-old fell to his knees and began to shield his face from the crowd as new single 'Love Unconditionally' played.

The refrain of the song is: "I'm losing my family / I'm losing my family / I'm losing my family."

West was hosting a listening party attended by 42,000 fans, in which he played songs from the new album for the first time.

He entered the stage last night (July 22) wearing a red puffer jacket and matching trousers with orange Yeezy shoes along with a brown rubber mask that covered his head.

He did not utter a word throughout the event, simply standing on stage as his album played.

Ye was joined at the event by Kim and their four children - North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

A source from E! News said Kim gave her input into 'Love Unconditionally'.

The source said: "He was respectful and gave her the heads up, and did not want to blindside her."

Donda is a follow-up album to Jesus is King, which is set to feature collaborations with Pusha T, Lil Baby, Travis Scott and Kanye's former mentor, Jay-Z.

The new album is set to drop some time today (23 July).

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian filed for divorce earlier this year.

Fans of the rapper took to Twitter to showcase how they felt about it all.

One user wrote: "Kanye screaming 'IM LOSING MY FAMILY, COME BACK TO ME DARLING' is actually making me cry bro i love this man so much and i want the best for him."

Whilst another user said: "I'm gonna cry listening to this Kanye album, this man really assembled the entire music industry."

Most fans on Twitter seemed to be preparing themselves for an emotional listen, whereas others lacked patience that the record still hasn't dropped yet.

A final user concluded: "Imagine refreshing @TIDAL every five seconds waiting for @kanyewest #DONDA to drop."

Donda will be West's 10th studio album.
