A fan was left completely shocked by the response of one of Sam Smith's people as she appeared to say hello when she bumped into them in London recently. Watch the viral vid below:
Now, we can only imagine how exhausting it must be constantly having fans approach you in the street when you're just trying to go about your daily business, but this encounter has certainly raised some eyebrows... and Sam Smith isn't the person who has caused the controversy.

A woman uploaded the clip on TikTok (__.sheima) and, as shown in the footage, begins to run over to Smith and a few of their friends to greet the multi-platinum artist.
However, as she runs over and says: "Sam Smith I love you," a member of their squad tells her to immediately 'shut the f**k up you [sic] b***h'.
After shoving her phone away, the man shouts 'take it off'.
To which the upset fan says: "What the f**k?

"I just wanted to say hi. What the f**k?"
As you might imagine, users were pretty shocked by the vid and were quick to voice their opinion on it.

One user wrote: "I hope they see this and feel so embarrassed."
"Aw she approached soo sweet as well," another commented.
A third added: "SUS. That's embarrassing they've surrounding himself w people like that."
"Imagine not checking your friend after they did something like that to one of your fans," someone else wrote.

After posting the video on social media yesterday, the clip has already racked up 1.2 million views and 175,000 likes.
In a follow-up video, she is seen to be in a more cheery mood, shouting: "I love you," in the direction of the group.

One of the members responds: "Shut up."

Back in 2019, the pop star announced they were changing their pronouns to 'they/them' and came out as non-binary.
They wrote on Instagram: "After a lifetime of being at war with my gender I've decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out.
"I've been very nervous about announcing this because I care too much about what people think.
"I understand there will be many mistakes and misgendering but all I ask is you please please try. I hope you can see me like I see myself now. Thank you."
