An adult film actor has claimed she was kicking off of the Bumble dating app because she works in porn.
Bunny Colby, 28, said she contacted Bumble's customer service team after she opened the app and found she had been banned for engaging in 'commercial activity', which she denies - asserting she wasn't using the platform for anything other than meeting a partner.
Speaking to the Daily Beast, Colby said her profile was 'very tame', saying: "Obviously, what I do for a living is 'controversial' for some people, but everything else about my life is very boring. I just pay my taxes and stay at home with my cats and read. My profile just said, 'I like cats, blah blah.'

"And then I had my Instagram handle in it, @BunnyColby, and it wasn't even hyperlinked - just the text. And Instagram is a very PG app, so I don't have anything too racy on there either."
According to screengrabs seen by the Daily Beast, Bumble's support staff told Colby they were looking into the matter, later reinstating her account and saying it had been accidentally removed.
But when she started to use the app again, Colby says she realised something was wrong, as she wasn't receiving any activity on her profile.

She continued: "It became very clear that I was shadowbanned on it.
"I don't want to sound full of myself, but if you're on the app for a couple of hours, you're gonna have a couple of likes and a match or two - no matter what you look like. But I didn't have a single one, so it was clear that my profile wasn't being shown to people."
She believed that, while she could access the app again, her profile wasn't showing up for any potential dates.
Colby got back in touch with Bumble to ask what had happened, but was encouraged to pay $24.99 for Bumble Boost, which would increase the visibility of her profile.
After following up again, she was told she was still banned, and she shouldn't have been told otherwise previously - saying the customer service member had 'made a mistake'.

When Colby asked what 'commercial activity' she was supposedly being booted off the app for, Bumble suggested she had been trying to earn money on the app.
She was told: "Unfortunately, we can't share specifics, but generally speaking commercial activity includes, but is not limited to seeking financial support, transactional activity, recruiting or soliciting for adult entertainment, selling/promoting any goods or services, or sharing links to any subscription-based services such as OnlyFans, ManyVids, Patreon, etc."
Colby maintains she has never used any such method, replying: "You are targeting sex workers unfairly even when they adhere to your TOS."
In her interview with the Daily Beast, Colby added that she'd simply wanted to use Bumble to meet someone.

"I was just swiping left and right, hoping that I don't die alone," she said.
Colby added: "The assumption that even a full-service sex worker would be on that app just to do sex work is wrong.
"Those people can also want authentic relationships, which is what Bumble says it exists for."
LADbible has contacted Bumble for comment.
