An Australian comedian has revealed he was threatened with arrest when he attempted to leave an event hosted by Meghan Markle when she was still a working member of the Royal Family.
Comedian Joel Creasey recounted the surreal experience on Nova 96.9's Fitzy and Wippa radio show on Monday.
The 32-year-old comedian revealed that he snuck into a youth leaders event masquerading as fellow Aussie comedy star Josh Thomas.

"I went to a morning tea to meet her for youth leaders aged under 30 and I just snuck in," he told radio hosts.
"I went along and she was five hours late."
So the comedian, sick of waiting for Markle to grace those gathered with her presence, decided to leave.
But apparently that was not permitted.

The 32-year-old said: "She's done a Madonna. I said, 'Can I leave? I don't care about her that much,' and security said, 'No, you can't leave. We'll arrest you'."
He said he was stunned by the exchange, before he cheekily quipped: "Turns out it's easier to leave the Royal Family than it is one of their events."
The comedian has had run-ins with Markle before, explaining that they 'didn't really hit it off'.

It's not the first time Markle and Creasey have had crossed words.
The comedian has previously spoken out about Markle's behaviour during her ill-fated tour Down Under with Prince Harry in 2018.
In 2019, Creasey revealed he was 'in a feud' with the Suits actor.
"I met her and we did not get on at all," he told The Project at the time, according to news.com.au.

"I got introduced to her. She came over and was planted in front of me. The governor of Victoria’s husband said to Meghan, ‘Oh Meghan, Joel hosted your wedding’."
But Meghan interjected before he had finished speaking to turn her ire to Creasey.
"I think he was going to say ‘Joel hosted your wedding on TV,'" he said.
"But before he could say that, Meghan cut him off and went, 'Ugh, I don’t remember you being there'.”

Talk about awkward.
But, then again, Markle hated 'every second' she spent in Australia, according to The Palace Papers by Tina Brown.
"She didn’t understand why things were set up in that way," the former Vanity Fair editor wrote in her tell-all book.
"Instead of being excited when thousands of people showed up at the Opera House, it was very much like, ‘What’s the purpose? I don’t understand this."
