Hooters girl responds to questions about uniform in emphatic way

Hooters recently opened up a new spot in Liverpool

Hooters is making quite the impression since opening a new spot in Liverpool.

And one of their waitresses has hit back at people online who have criticised the rather revealing uniform. Check it out:

Unless you've been living under a rock the past week, you will have heard all about - and most likely seen - the Merseyside branch of the iconic US chain.

Basically, as the name would suggest, Hooters is staffed by young, attractive women, who serve up big pints of beer and barbecue staples to what is a largely male-dominated clientele.

And some of the staff members have been taking to social media to share some behind the scenes content of working at the bar.

But one waitress used her platform to stick the middle finger up at people who might turn their nose up at the job and the uniform they have to wear.

Aimee hit back at critics.

In a post to TikTok, Aimee Jones shared the question: "Why would you want to wear those little shorts to be a waitress?"

And in a response that's about as emphatic as it possibly could be, Aimee revealed what she used to wear as a uniform for her old job.

In an old pic, she's seen wearing a blue hat/cap, a yellow t-shirt and blur trousers, and looks decidedly less happy about the situation that she does in her new Hooters clobber.

Since the video was posted, it has been viewed more than 121,000 times, with thousands piling into the comments to share their thoughts.

Backing Aimee's stance, one user said: "This is so funny."

She didn't like her old job's colours.

Another wrote: "The sadness in those eyes in the 2nd clip."

"Fair enough," agreed someone else.

While another added: "Omg I love this."

Not everyone was so supportive, however, with some still questioning her decision to take a job with the chain.

One person said: "Go back to serving food ! The whole idea is ridiculous."

To which Aimee replied: "I still serve food, just get to feel confident doing it."
