It can be a bit hard to keep up with actor and political activist Laurence Fox.

One minute he's cancelled, the next he claims he's 'un-cancelled' and then he attempts to hold an anti-cancel culture event, but even that ends up getting cancelled.

However, if you were wondering how the 44-year-old has been up to at the start of 2023, it seems he's been focusing on videoing defibrillators.

Fox posted the video on Sunday, 15 January, the footage showing him strolling through a village somewhere in the UK, focusing on what appears to be a red phone box.

As he gets nearer, you can see it's actually a defibrillator station - thousands of which have been offered to local authorities across the country for just £1 each as part of BT's Adopt a Kiosk scheme first started in 2008, as per the Independent.

The caption reads: "Move along. Nothing to see here."

Fox opens the door to the defibrillator station and zooms in and out to supposedly prove his point.

Followers of the Inspector Lewis actor have flooded to the post in bafflement, many taking Fox's comment to be a snub at the defibrillator.

One said: "This has been the norm for many years, to utilise dis/underused public utilities into something that can save lives. Very much welcomed."

"I think it was 2013 when we had a couple supplied to local shops and a number of people - including me - were trained by the ambulance service how to perform CPR and use the defibrillators. That rapid treatment may save a life," another wrote.

A third commented: "I had a heart attack last year, and something tried to use one of those on me, I said ‘no thanks, I’m not woke’. Perfectly fine after that."

Social media users are baffled by Fox's Twitter post.

The Community Heartbeat Trust charity has worked alongside BT to install defibrillators in disused red phone boxes.

National Secretary of the charity, Martin Fagan, told PA news agency as per the Independent: "BT’s phone box kiosks are iconic British structures, and repurposing for this life-saving use has given them a new lease of life.

"Placing the equipment in the heart of a community is important to save on time. Kiosks are historically at the centre of the community, and thus great locations for defibrillators."

A final Twitter user who saw Fox's video resolved: "Laurence is a bit concerned that, now phone boxes are being used for defibrillators, he won’t have any suitable venues for the next meeting of his Reclaim Party."

LADbible has contacted Laurence Fox for comment.
