Anti-Vaxxer Goes On Bizarre Segregation Rant At Sydney Cafe

The bloke screamed that NSW had become an apartheid state that was discriminating against the non-vaccinated.

A bloke in Sydney has hit out against a cafe that was sticking to the city's new post-lockdown vaccination system.

The man videoed himself walking into Cafe Dzajko in Tempe this week and hurled abuse at the barista.

He first criticised the establishment for having a sign outside that said proof of vaccination was mandatory to enter the business, which he thought was ridiculous (even though pretty much every business in the state will have the same policy).

"What make you think that I am going to hand over my medical and private information of whether I am vaccinated or not vaccinated just to buy a cup of coffee," the man said in the clip.

"Do you see how insanely hypocritical that sounds? That you're actually going to walk implicitly into segregation?"

While many people saw October 11 as Freedom Day as lockdown restrictions lifted, the anti-vaxxer questioned whether it should be called 'apartheid day'.

He highlighted how the non-vaccinated people in New South Wales will have to wait until December 1 until they can enjoy the same freedoms as the vaccinated and reckons he's now being segregated.

It's clear the man wanted the video to serve as a 'gotcha moment' but it failed miserably as the cafe worker told him to buzz off.

As he left, the man filming the whole thing claimed he's 'very powerful' and he 'will come back'.

Unfortunately for him, the plan to shame the cafe has backfired massively.

People have flocked to give the business loads of good online reviews and many rushed to pick up a coffee or a cake to support them.

Former Inner West Council mayor Darcy Byrne said he deliberately grabbed some food from Cafe Dzajko to give a middle finger to the anti-vaxxer.

"When I saw this rude & obnoxious vid from some anti-vaxx twerp abusing the staff at Cafe Dzajko I headed down to buy my lunch & leave a tip," he wrote on Twitter.

"Great ppl who deserve our respect and support. They actually started the business during the pandemic. Get down there as soon as you can."

The cafe has been overwhelmed by the public's support.

"Thank you to the people who have shouted coffees today and provided your generous support to our small business. We are so thankful for your generosity," they said on Facebook.

Proof of vaccination will be required at most venues, including pubs, restaurants and cafes. It will also be required to be shown when trying to enter shopping centres, gyms, retail stores and other indoor establishments.
