Billie Eilish Responds After Kanye West Demands Apology For Travis Scott

The rapper said he wouldn't play Coachella unless he got an apology

Billie Eilish has responded after Kanye West demanded an apology from her on behalf of Travis Scott.

Eilish stopped her gig in Atlanta, Georgia, at the weekend after spotting a fan who appeared to need an inhaler.

The 20-year-old then told the crowd: "I wait for people to be OK before I keep going."

This comment was interpreted as a dig at Scott, who was performing at Astroworld Festival in November when 10 people died as crowds surged towards the stage.

Hundreds more were injured and Scott now faces lawsuits for billions in damages.

But West has threatened to pull out of his spot at Coachella festival unless fellow headliner Eilish apologies to Scott.

West added that Scott was 'very hurt' by what happened at Astroworld and said he would be joining him at Coachella.

In a punctuationless all-caps Instagram post, West - who recently changed his name to Ye - said: "COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM"

Eilish, who was named international artist of the year for the third-consecutive year at the Brit awards on Tuesday, denied she had referenced Scott.

The 20-year-old commented on the post: "literally never said a thing about travis. was just helping a fan."

Scott recently welcomed his second child with partner Kylie Jenner, who is the sister of Kim Kardashian - who filed for divorce from West in February last year.

Kardashian cited irreconcilable differences, and in a recent interview, she explained that she has decided to put her happiness first.

Speaking to Vogue for the March issue, Kardashian said: "For so long, I did what made other people happy.

"And I think in the last two years I decided, I'm going to make myself happy. And that feels really good.

"And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it's important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy.

"I've chosen myself. I think it's OK to choose you.

"My 40s are about being Team Me. I'm going to eat well. I'm going to work out. I'm going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy."
