Twins Jedward have come under fire on social media surrounding tweets they have posted about the health of the Queen before her passing was announced this evening.
The former X Factor contestants took to Twitter today (8 September) to speculate on Queen Elizabeth's condition after a statement from the palace revealed the monarch was under medial supervision earlier today.
The tweets, which still remain on the pairs account following the announcement of the Queen's death, have been deemed 'not appropriate' by many of their followers.

One Tweet joked that the new Prime Minster Liz Truss 'must have done something on that visit to the Queen'.
The new prime minister visited the Queen on Tuesday (6 September) at her estate in Balmoral, Scotland, where she was asked by Her Majesty to form a new government.
The meeting was a break from tradition as incoming PM's usually visit the Queen at Buckingham Palace before being formally confirmed as the new prime minister.

Another tweet Jedward posted today was simply saying: "The Queen is Dead?"
Twitter users have reacted angrily to the twins' posts and have condemned their actions for the 'inappropriate' comments.
One user said: "With all respect, like the monarchy or not, I don't think it's the time or reason for any sassy jokes."

A second added: "Not necessary. Respect called for at times like this."
Meanwhile, a third said: "I mean love or hate her, she’s still someone’s mummy, granny and sister. So I guess this isn’t the time for jokes."
Other comments were thrown, including telling the twins to 'grow up' and another adding 'really not funny'.
Buckingham Palace have since confirmed this evening the Queen died 'peacefully' this afternoon.
The statement read: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Escort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."

The Queen's four children, King Charles, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward were all in Balmoral for their mother's final hours today.
Earlier on today (Thursday), a Palace spokesperson described the Queen's condition as 'comfortable' following a doctors assessment.
The statement read: "Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision."
"The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."
