Jill Scott is crowned winner of I'm a Celebrity and viewers are over the moon

Jill Scott has been crowned the winner of this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

Jill Scott has been crowned the winner of this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

After spending three long weeks in the jungle living on little more than rice and beans, over 12 million votes have been counted, 12 has become one and we finally have our winner.

Prepare to cry tears of joy as Jill brings it home for the second time this year:

This year's final three included some stiff competition with heavily criticised MP Matt Hancock, Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner and former England footballer and Women's Euro 2022 winner Jill Scott all battling it out for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle.

On the final episode of the series, first broadcast tonight, 27 November, three became two as Hancock was voted out within the first half of the programme, leaving Owen and Jill to reflect on their time in the jungle while awaiting the news of who would be taking home the crown.

Owen and Jill have been firm favourites with viewers since the beginning of the competition, although former contestant Hancock revealed he was rooting for Jill during his exit interview.

Even Owen noted how much of a 'superstar' Jill was when asked what winning the title would mean to him shortly before the voting closed.

Viewers have since exploded online, thrilled with the news of Jill's win.

One Twitter user said: "GO JILL!!!! QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE."

"jill winning two finals in one year so true of her," another wrote.

A third commented: "JILL SCOTT MY QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE, IM SO PROUD OF HER."

To say that we're going to miss I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here being on our screens each night would be an understatement.

We got used to seeing the unhappy campers on our screen every night, eating gag-inducing food and crawling through small spaces with creepy crawlies.

While Tindall - who actually is royalty thanks to his marriage to Zara Phillips - won't be crowned King of the Jungle, he had some strong opinions on who deserves to win it.

Turns out the sporting legend wanted Jill Scott to be crowned Queen of the Jungle, as he revealed in his exit interview.

Mike Tindall told his campmate how he really feels about politicians.

He was less kind about Hancock, claiming the MP for West Suffolk is 'polling for votes' and is so desperate to win that he keeps positioning his name and number so it's on camera as much as possible.

Tindall also used his interview to talk about some of his finer moments on the show, boasting that his idea of wearing tight trunks in the shower was a chance to 'get my pineapples out'.

Well, we won't exactly miss seeing that on our screens but we're already counting down the days till the next season.
