I'm A Celebrity star Boy George insists he will not be stomaching any of the animal eating trials

Look, whether you want to admit it or not, the best bit of the jungle-based reality show is watching celebs endure horrendous trials.

Vegan I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here contestant Boy George might not be munching on creepy crawlies.

Look, whether you want to admit it or not, the best bit of the jungle-based show is watching celebs endure horrendous trials.

However, the 'Karma Chameleon' singer, who eats a plant-based diet, might be opting out of some of the Bushtucker eating trials.

After binge-watching some seriously scary Netflix series (Dahmer, anyone?) we're ready for I'm a Celeb's return to provide us with some wholesome content.

And, as we gear up to see the show back on our screens this weekend (6 November), it seems that one of the contestants won't be taking part in the eating trials.

Boy George is currently in Australia.

To be fair, we don't blame Boy George here, the idea of eating live bugs is enough to make our skin crawl.

Touching down in Australia while mysteriously donning a lion mask, the Culture Club icon was asked by The Sun whether he'd be eating any bugs.

He responded: "I love all creatures," which certainly seems like he'll be shying away from the bug-eating portion of the show.

The star also joked that he was in Australia to do 'a version of the Lion Queen'.

Still, even if he's benching bug eating, Boy George is sure to take part in a host of over trials, alongside fellow celeb contestants that include Mike Tindall, Chris Moyles and Olivia Attwood.

And, they all seem to be in good spirits, with Chris saying: "I have absolutely no idea what my family and friends would think of me doing a show like I'm A Celebrity.

"I have never asked them. But I think they would be much more nervous about me doing Antiques Roadshow."

Olivia also had plenty to say, and wasn't sure what to expect from the show: "It is day one at the minute so I'm not missing much. But in three or four days the dogs and my fiance probably. I mean four weeks and no shagging, what can you do?"

Attwood said she planned to use some code words while in the camp that only her partner Bradley Dack would know.

She added: "I have got a really cute idea as well so I will save it for in the camp."

And we'll be tuning in this weekend to see if Boy George bites the bug bullet and what Olivia's 'cute idea' really is.
