Two lads are throwing big black tie events in Sydney and Brisbane to raise money for Movember

Save a date for the upcoming ‘Fur Balls' to raise funds and get behind men’s health.

Two lads, Cam and Mark, are organising two epic black-tie events in Sydney and Brisbane to support a noble cause and offer a platform where men can talk about the importance of health.

Cam initially founded Project YoU to focus on investing time into one’s mental, emotional and physical well-being.

He teamed up with Mark last year, who went through a severe bout of depression in his early twenties.

While Mark says he initially struggled immensely, a life-changing conversation with his mum led him to seek the help of a therapist, which changed the trajectory of his life for the better.

Now, these two men have committed themselves to changing the face of men’s mental health while fostering a community to get behind this moment.

Talking about health can seem like a daunting task. But what better way to open up the conservation than a fun party, where you and your nearest and dearest can get glammed up?

Everyday Aussies will rarely be able to attend a black tie event like this. I mean, outside of the odd 21st or when Aunty Raquel is getting hitched.

But this is where The Fur Balls come in..

The Fur Balls, hosted by ProjectYoU, will see punters scrub up to look their best while rallying behind essential causes, including men’s mental health, prostate cancer, suicide prevention and testicular cancer.

In Brisbane, this incredible cocktail party will take place at The Warehouse, Fortitude Valley and feature a live band and DJ to keep the tunes coming and the conversations flowing.

Speaking of flowing, if you purchase a ticket, you’ll also get bang for your buck, as you'll have an unlimited beer, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks package as well as some delicious finger food.

Not to mention, there'll also be prizes, silent auctions and giveaways up for grabs on the night.

Last year saw the first-ever Fur Ball event in Brissy, which managed to raise $25,000, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going towards Movember.

Sydneysiders you’ll also have the opportunity to join the cause with a slightly different event.

This party is taking place on a cruise at Sydney Harbour.

You’ll be able to live your best Jennifer Coolidge yacht life while downing some champers or busting a move or several.

ProjectYoU will take punters around on the Cadman Cruise - a three-level Manly Ferry converted to floating events space, which boasts three stages and a mix of DJ’s, Acoustic and Live Bands on each level.
