Christmas is a wonderful time, but bringing it all together for the big day can take a hell of a lot of work, especially when it comes to getting the dinner on the table.
The classic Christmas dinner is a big turkey with all the trimmings, enough vegetables to build your own farm and a mountain of Brussels sprouts, all followed by pudding and plenty to drink.

Getting it all ready is a tough task, though, so on Christmas Day, it can be tempting to take a year off from doing it yourself and go to a restaurant.
However, if you want to go to the highest of the high end for the festive day and visit one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants, you'll need to be prepared to fork over £275 per head, and that's before anyone mentions the cost of drinks, let alone the 15 percent gratuity automatically added to your bill.
What you'd be getting for your money is a luxury six course meal prepared in one of the nation's most prestigious restaurants.

Your opening courses are confit egg and lobster ravioli, before moving onto your choice of main course between Dover sole or Cumbrian venison.
You're then treated to something called Brillat-Savarin (it's a cheese) with Périgord truffle, followed by sorbet and a final course of hazelnut souffle.
If that menu doesn't tickle your fancy, then you could try another of Ramsay's restaurants for the same £275 per person price.
The Savoy Grill, housed within the luxury London hotel, is offering a menu of Jerusalem artichoke velouté and Périgord truffle followed by a lobster and shellfish cocktail, Bois Boudran, and smoked avocado.
Two courses down and five to go, not counting the chef's selection of canapes, it's then onto your chicken liver and foie gras parfait with blackberries and toasted brioche.

Once you've got those down you, it's onto the choice of main course, and you can pick from the classic Christmas roast turkey, beef wellington, Dover sole Grenobloise or a wild mushroom linguine with truffle and cheddar foam.
You then get port-soaked cheese with cherry sourdough bread and crackers, while unlike Petrus, this menu does come with a drink, as you get a Kir Royale cocktail before the final course, which is a choice of Christmas pudding or chestnut Mont Blanc.
If you can't make it for Christmas, however, you could always pop into his three Michelin starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay for New Year's Eve, though that'll cost you a whopping £400 per person before anyone's even discussed drinks.
If you do decide to go, make sure you read your bill very carefully, you don't want to end up like the customer who went to one of Ramsay's restaurants and had a delightful experience, until realising he'd ordered a dish more expensive than one of Ramsay's entire Christmas or New Year menus.
