Fox News has made an awkward blunder after accidentally labelling Kate Middleton ‘The Princess of Whales’, instead of Wales.

The hilarious moment occurred during an America's Newsroom segment, anchored by co-hosts Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino, when the two began reflecting on 2022 and the year that was.

Perino began looking back at all of the predictions she had made for this year, one of which included incorrectly predicting Kate would fall pregnant.

However, that’s not all they got wrong.

The graphic then showed the Princess was given her current, yet woefully misspelt title following Queen Elizabeth’s II death in September.

It must have been the intern all alone in the control room that day.

Or, so we hope.

Funnily enough, the two hosts didn’t even spot the major grammatical error.

I guess this proves that the silly season is now officially in full force.

Of course, the massive blunder sent people on social media into an absolute frenzy.

One person wrote: "Fox News referring to Kate Middleton as the 'Princess of Whales' was not on my 2022 bingo card.”

Another said: "Does anyone who is assigned graphics go to school ? Study geography [or] anything? [and why didn't] the co-hosts even react to it?”

While a third commented: “Oh Fox News, you can be so entertaining sometimes."

But Middleton can’t seem to escape the headlines these days, especially in the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan's docuseries dropping on Netflix.

In the series, the couple opens up about their decision to step back as working members of the Royal Family, which they largely attribute to the British tabloid press.

Harry accused the press of spinning false narratives about his wife while revealing that Prince William believes each of the family’s significant partners, including Kate, had to earn their stripes by suffering through insidious media scrutiny.

According to Harry, his brother simply shrugged it off as a ‘right of passage’ for members entering into the family.

However, Harry insists the coverage of Meghan is far more insidious than others as it frequently targets her race.

He said: ''The direction of the palace [Buckingham] was just 'don't say anything, don't do anything.

"They said it was a rite of passage, and to that, I said the difference here is the race element."

The docuseries unveils many tabloid headlines that had described Meghan as ‘gangster royalty’, and she was from a ‘crime-ridden neighbourhood’.

Whereas Middleton was dubbed ‘Waity Kaity’.

According to US Weekly, Prince William and Kate are reportedly upset with the Netflix series and feel 'betrayed' by the couple.
