He may come across as the kind of geezer who'd glass you in the pub for beating him in a game of darts, but Danny Dyer is no more immune to human suffering than the rest of us.
During a recent trip to Sierra Leone for Sport Relief, the Eastenders actor was completely overwhelmed by the extent of the poverty in the West African country.
The 38-year-old saw children who'd lost their parents to the Ebola virus rummaging through piles of rubbish for their next meal.
He also visited a hospital where countless kids suffering from malaria were fighting for their lives.

"At this very moment, I am embarrassed to be a human being," he said as he broke down in tears.
"I knew this trip was going to be bad. I knew that. But when it's in front of you... I've got children, myself. I don't know how they do it. I really don't.
After the eye-opening trip, Dyer welled up again when talking about his experiences with Holly and Phillip on This Morning.

"I thought I came from poverty, but I don't come from poverty! This is a whole new level," he told the presenters.
