'Drunk' driver accused of killing bride on wedding day tells dad she wants him to walk her down aisle in call from prison

Jamie Komoroski tells her father she wants him to walk her down the aisle in call from prison

Wedding days are supposed to be the most magical days of a couple’s life, but an alleged drunk driver ruined the lives of many when she reportedly killed a bride on her wedding day.

Now, she’s talking about her own wedding behind bars.

Jamie Komoroski is awaiting trial for allegedly running over Samantha Miller and Aric Hutchinson on a day that was supposed to mark their first moments as a married couple in April 2023.

Samantha, 34, was killed just minutes after the couple left their wedding reception with her husband Aric, 36, who was left critically injured by Komoroski, who allegedly crashed into the golf cart they left their wedding reception in.

Not only did Aric end up in hospital, but he had to attend his wife’s funeral soon after.

Komoroski, 26, was reported to have been speeding 65mph in a 25mph zone in a rented Toyota Camry whilst under the influence of alcohol.

Jamie Komoroski has been charged with reckless homicide and three DUI charges.

She was quickly apprehended and charged with one count of reckless homicide and two counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily harm and one count of DUI resulting in death.

If convicted, she could face up to 25 years behind bars.

Having been denied bail before her trial, the New Jersey native is now talking about walking down the aisle herself.

As the woman waits for her trail to begin, it appears she was imagining her life beyond prison now that certain milestones may not be achievable behind bars.

In audio recordings obtained by the New York Post, Komoroski can be heard telling her father: “I want you to be at my wedding.

“I want you to walk me down the aisle. I want you to be with me. I want to go on walks with you.”

As she is still believed to be dating her boyfriend Evan Tatro, who stood by her during her arrest, perhaps imagining a future where a wedding is possible with him.

Samantha Miller passed away on 28 April, the day of her wedding.

In December, the pair spoke on a call where Komoroski praised him for collecting her mother from the airport.

She told him: “It means a lot to me.

“I can’t wait to get a hug from you, oh my gosh, you had just better wear a rain jacket.”

During their chat, she described the things she does for recreational time.

She said: “You can watch TV, play cards or go in the rec yard and there is one medicine ball.

“I can’t believe its already December honestly, I really can’t.

“This is the hardest part, you know, so, we’re getting through it.

“I miss you.”

They then told each other ‘I love you’ before the call ended.

Komoroski's trial is set to begin next month.
