Realising that 63 percent of Brits don’t know what this road sign means is possibly the scariest thing you'll read today.
It turns out that many of us aren't aware of one of the most important road signs in the UK.
I don't know about you, but not knowing what a big red sign means should spark a big red warning in your head.

Back in 2019, the UK had 153,315 road accident casualties, a five percent decrease from 2018.
Although causes may differ, reading road signs correctly will surely help us drive more safely.
There's triangular signs, circular signs, different colours, pictures and it can all get a little confusing.
But forgetting what this sign means can be extremely dangerous to yourself and those around you.
Also in 2019, Click4reg took it upon themselves to identify 12 commonly misunderstood road signs in the UK.

"The road sign the fewest drivers could name is ‘with-flow bus and cycle lane’ - only 21 percent (256) of respondents could correctly identify this road sign," they revealed.
"The second worst most unknown road sign, with only 28 percent (342) correctly guessing it, was ‘with-flow bus lane ahead which pedal cycles and taxis may also use’.
"Third place is taken by the ‘minimum speed’ road sign with 366 (30 percent) people correctly identifying."

“Not only that, introducing a knowledge of the rules of the road from an early age would help many future drivers to ensure their safety and that of others.”
However, what they dubbed as 'the most shocking result' is when a staggering 62 percent of respondents (756 active drivers) didn’t know what the ‘no entry’ sign was.
It means 'no entry for vehicular traffic', which usually involves a one way system.

Elsewhere, the study said that the 'highest number of correct answers is ‘side winds’'.
It continued: "93 percent (1,135) of the drivers asked knew this road traffic sign meaning. The next well-known road sign is ‘keep left’, as 75 percent (915) people correctly identified it.

"And while third and fourth best in our quiz, it’s shocking to discover that the common ‘no stopping’ and ‘no waiting’ fooled 41 percent and 42 percent of respondents respectively."
