Rishi Sunak has been married to his wife Akshata Murthy since 2009. They met while studying at Stanford Business School. They married in a lavish two-day ceremony in Bangalore, India.

Akshata Murthy is the daughter of Narayana Murthy, the founder of IT company Infosys and one of India's richest men. The firm was started in 1981 and is said to be worth billions of pounds.
Murthy started out working in finance and marketing but is now mainly focussed on fashion design and running her own label, Akshata Design.
As a student at Stanford, Murthy was described as "an artistic and fashion-loving student with a deep passion for India's traditional craftsmanship" by Tatler and is known to have worked with artists in rural villages in India.
In 2011, Murthy was shot by Vogue India and spoke about the philosophy behind her fashion designs. She said: "I'm about the story behind a particular garment, it's authenticity, craftsmanship and protecting a rich heritage. I care about doing something in India, for India because it's part of our family's DNA."

Murthy was born in India in 1980 and is 41-years-old in 2021.
After graduating from Stanford, she and Sunak lived in California for a bit before moving to the UK with their kids. They now live in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, have a house in Kensington, London and reportedly still have a flat in Santa Monica, California.
