Holly Willoughby Drops To The Floor To Avoid Wetting Herself On Live TV

Awkward.

We've all been there, when a situation is so funny that you cannot help but laugh until you cry. Hopefully it doesn't go further, with you losing control of your bowels - but if you do, who cares?

Well, depends who's watching, I guess. If you're on national live TV, it might be a bit of a problem.

It genuinely looks like Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have an incredible amount of fun on the This Morning set, but today the pair seemed genuinely tickled by a particular item on the show's schedule.

It all seemed innocent enough when Holly said, "at 12:15 we'll be tasting Fearne Cotton's cupcakes," but it was soon clear that she found something about the phrase to be utterly hilarious.

The 36-year-old tried her best to keep the laughter inside, but she was clearly powerless to stop it, dropping to the floor in a giggling fit.

Co-host Phillip couldn't help himself and was soon laughing along. In between fits of giggles, he said: "I can't believe you have to do that. You're doing it on telly. It's so you don't wet your pants."

Luckily, they managed to pull themselves together by the time Fearne came on to discuss her cupcakes.

There are hours of footage on YouTube of the pair breaking into fits of laughter, and usually they regain enough composure to keep the broadcast going.

More often than not, it's pretty entertaining to watch and it's also pretty contagious.

At least one viewer took to Twitter to tell of a similar battle to avoid wetting herself.

Schofield and Willoughby are very prone to breaking down over the smallest innuendo. In one memorable show, they couldn't help themselves when Gino D'Acampo mentioned his Italian sausage.

To be honest, I would find it hard to contain myself if innuendos were flying out left, right and centre every day on the set. Still though, I'd definitely have to come up with a better coping strategy than Holly's technique of being doubled up with laughter on the ground.
