A Peter Pan horror movie is in the works and it's set to feature Tinkerbell as a 'heavily obese' drug addict.
It'll come as no surprise that Rhys Frake-Waterfield is behind the project, the director responsible for the upcoming Winnie The Pooh horror Blood and Honey.
The indie filmmaker seems hellbent on ruining our childhoods and, as a certified slasher junkie, I'm here for it.

And he's not stopping with the boy who never grew up, either.
In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Rhys explained that he's planning on creating a 'twisted', low-budget version of the MCU, swapping family friendly characters with knife-wielding killers.
"The idea is that we’re going to try and imagine they’re all in the same world, so we can have crossovers," he told the outlet.
"People have been messaging saying they really want to see Bambi versus Pooh."

Anyone else excited? There's no reason why these plans can't go ahead, especially with Blood and Honey proving to be a viral hit.
As for his Peter Pan project, the film will be called Neverland Nightmare and it will be a far cry from the magical adventure of our childhoods.
The 1953 Disney version of J.M. Barrie's 1902 story centres on the forever-young, flying boy who spends his days in Neverland with the Lost Boys, fairies, pirates, and mermaids.

When Peter meets Wendy and her brothers, John and Michael, the four head off to the enchanted island where they take on evil pirate Captain Hook with the help of his trusted sidekick Tinkerbell.
It's not hard to see why the filmmaker set his sights on this world, with Rhys saying it's got a 'lot of interesting elements' they can 'have fun with'.
"All the characters are meant to be really innocent, and when you think of Tinker Bell, she’s this sweet, cute little fairy," he said.
"But we’re going to make her heavily obese and recovering from drugs."

Although there's no official release date as of yet, considering Blood and Honey was made for less than $100,000 and shot over just ten days, we can expect updates in the coming months.
In an interview with Variety, Rhys said Blood and Honey will see Pooh and Piglet as 'the main villains... going on a rampage' after being abandoned by a college-bound Christopher Robin.
"Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult," he explained.

"Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral.
"So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey."
