James and Clair Buckley have recently taken on a whole new role - not only are they already Inbetweeners star, parents, primary dishwasher emptier and proud meat thermometer owner - now the pair are co-hosts too given their new podcast In Sickness and in Health.

Yes, proud meat thermometer owner. Clair - who also happens to be married to James - explains when the actor's not fixing his bedtime so he can dodge unloading the dishwasher, James is buying 'stupid' purchases such as a meat thermometer.

Whether it's really a stupid purchase is up for debate, James arguing it's 'not a stupid purchase at all, whatsoever,' but Clair hastily chiming in to confirm it's not just 'very stupid' but 'very expensive' too.
Basically, girls are to Jay Cartwright what excessively priced kitchen gadgets are to James Buckley - although he's quick to tell LADbible he got the £100 meat thermometer reduced from its RRP.
And if the idea of Jay turning into a man who loves meat thermometers doesn't make you feel old, this definitely will.
With 15 years having passed since The Inbetweeners first hit our screens, James and Clair tell LADbible how much bringing up their two children has made them realise what a different time kids are growing up in today and why the iconic series wouldn't strike the same chord as it did back in the early 2000s.

James admits having children at any time 'is a challenge' but thinks becoming a parent has become 'a lot more complicated' in the modern day.
Not to mention the world is certainly a whole lot more PC since The Inbetweeners came out too.
James says: "Comedy will always evolve and it's always evolving. That's what's great about comedy. You can't just keep doing the same thing over and over again, because it doesn't stay funny.
"But I do have a lot of hope for kids [...] for the next generation of people that are my kids' age. Most of them seem a lot nicer and kinder and listen to each other and things like that. […] I suppose they're a bit more world weary."

But what do James and Clair think their kids would make of The Inbetweeners?

Well, James thinks most people today would get bored if they saw a show like The Inbetweeners on TV, reflecting on some of the backlash the programme has faced for its language and very 2000s humour.
James says: "[...] My nan used to have VHS tapes of Love Thy Neighbour. And I saw an episode of that [...] when I was sort of 13, 14. And obviously, I found it shocking. And that was it. It was just put down to, 'Well, that's what people were like back then'. We're not anymore are we? That's good, isn't it?

“Yeah. So I think that's it really. [...] Taste and comedy. It all evolves, it's always changing. And whether or not The Inbetweeners would be considered controversial these days or whatever. I don't think that's important.
"I just think people will be bored of it. I just think people go, 'They've already done this. They did this 15 years ago'."
And Clair simply adds: "I’m not sure our kids would want to watch their dad anyway, no matter how good it is."
While James and Clair's kids may not watch The Inbetweeners anytime soon, they probably wouldn't want to listen in to their parents' podcast about their marriage either.
Thankfully, the recently released podcast isn't aimed at them, but others who are haphazardly navigating their way through married life, giving a similar type of insight we received into James being 'grassed up' for his meat thermometer purchase by their eldest son, making some 'amazing boneless thighs' on the BBQ, the pair being 'huge' Kevin Bridges fans, feeling 'sorry' for Rob Mcelhenney being known as 'Ryan Reynolds' friend' and ultimately, trying to beat Joe Rogan to the top spot on Spotify*.
