First episode of Celebrity Big Brother has everyone saying the same thing

The iconic reality series returned on 4 March.

Celebrity Big Brother officially returned to our screens last night (4 March) after a six year hiatus.

Millions of viewers tuned in to watch the first episode of the beloved British reality series, which has been rebooted by ITV, as 13 famous faces entered the house.

After weeks of speculation about which celebrities were taking part, the official line-up was revealed last night.

Keeping true to the style of the iconic show, there is obviously quite a mix of stars who will be living together in the Big Brother house - so expect some fireworks.

The likes of Heartstopper star Bradley Riches, Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita Kuzmin, Coronation Street's Colson Smith, Louis Walsh and Real Housewives of Cheshire icon Lauren Simon are among the contestants this year.

Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Marisha Wallace, Fern Britton, Zeze Millz, David Potts, Gary Goldsmith and Levi Roots were also greeted by cheering fans as they entered Celebrity Big Brother.

Sharon Osbourne has also been confirmed as a 'lodger' in the house, meaning she'll be there for a limited period of time and won't be a fully fledged contestant looking to be crowned winner.

The legendary show, which last aired on Channel 5, is now being hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best - who have some pretty big shoes to fill, but they have managed to impress Brits so far.

Even though the housemates are still fully immersed in the getting to know each other stage and viewers have only saw limited interactions between them, people had plenty to discuss about the Celebrity Big Brother launch.

The topic which dictated most conversations online was whether the line-up was as impressive as they had hoped for, which sparked quite a debate on social media.

One person said: "I don’t think Big Brother had the budget this year because WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!"

Another joked: "'You might recognise me from…..' Nope, even with your explanation I am still none the wiser."

A third added: "Not a clue who most these ‘celebs’ are."

And a fourth added: "Is it just me ? I only know two people, so where are the celebrities? They should have just called it Big Brother."

But on the other hand, some people reckoned Celebrity Big Brother boasts quite an interesting and entertaining gang of housemates this year.

One fan wrote: "Just squealed in excitement catching up on the #CBBUK line up from last night's launch. Died and gone to heaven!"

Another added: "This is an AMAZING line up I am already loving it."

A third commented in support: "Seen so many people saying they aren’t impressed with the lineup… I think it’s quite good? Some of the people this year wouldn’t have done it on Channel 5."

While someone else chimed in: "Amazing #cbbuk launch night and a great lineup! So so glad the show is back and love that the launch is live again!"

What do you reckon?
