And now they're gearing up to do it all again, looking at a new gruesome crime that is sure to have fans hooked.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the second season will focus on the gloomy tale of Lyle and Erik Menendez.
The two brothers were convicted of murdering their parents in their lush Beverly Hills home in 1989.

And in order to celebrate locking in their new subject matter, Netflix have not only announced the topic but also a teaser to allow fans to whet their whistle while thet wait for season two.
The short clip containing Lyle Menendez's real-life 911 call and revealing a 2024 release date.
The two men were tried twice in court over the murder of their parents, José and Kitty.
The first trial ended in a deadlocked jury, with the second attempt to secure a conviction successful with both found guilty of murder in the first degree.

The case was covered at nauseam during the 1990s, capturing global media attention and spawning a multitude of documentaries, dramatisations, and even a whole season of Law & Order: True Crime.

The two men felt the eyes of the world upon them as they regaled the court with their tales of alleged lifelong sexual, emotional, and physical abuse from their parents.
The boys threatened to expose their father for his horrific deeds. before eventually killing their parents as they lived in fear for their own lives.

However, the Beverley Hills family were also rather wealthy, with state prosecutors arguing they stood to benefit from their father's multimillion-dollar estate.
The case struck a chord with Americans and captured the attention of the world as two rich and privileged white men looked down the barrel of a life sentence.
Netflix has also gained 'exclusive access to Lyle and Erik Menendez for a forthcoming documentary feature,' Dextero reports.
And, just like how the first season was a smash hit success after it shone a light on the sensational Dahmer murders, it now seems that Monster season two is on the verge of another raging success.
