This is the moment a woman was told she'd won £1 million ($1.3m) on live TV and her reaction baffled viewers who thought she seemed 'unimpressed':

The woman from Essex had entered ITV's The Million Pound Decision which is promoted across Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women.

Today the channel's presenter, Andi Peters, was tasked with announcing the winner of what has been called 'the biggest TV comp ever seen'.

When it was revealed that someone had won the competition - which asks whether the successful participant wants £10,000 a month for 10 years or the straight up mil - GMB host Susanna Reid said: "We have some very exciting news, don't we?

"We have made one viewer a millionaire! She's decided to remain anonymous, but we can tell you she's from Essex.

"Also, she has quite a low-key response, you may be surprised, but imagine what it would be like if you got that call!"

Susanna's co-host Martin Lewis responded in the only way we could imagine The Money Saving Expert doing, when he said: "If someone called me up to say that I had won a million pounds, my instant reaction would be that it's a scam, it's a fake and I would be very nervous about giving them any details.

"So there's a rightful level of scepticism when somebody makes that call."

Anyway, Andi's phone call with the anonymous woman was filmed and played back to show the moment Andi asks: "Did you enter one of our competitions?"

The lady replied: "I did," adding: "I think it was the million pound one but I'm sure you can't be calling me about that."

Andi confirmed that she had in fact won the competition and she said: "Really? I can't believe it. My heart is like beating crazily."

When Andi asks how she would like to receive her dosh, she laughed: "I was just going to go for the million in one go."

Now, it's not everyday people get told they've won £1 million so she was probably just in disbelief.

But that didn't stop people commenting on her reaction. One person wrote: "I'm still reeling from the lack of interest shown by the competition winner! Sounded like she'd won free bin cleaning for a year."

Another added: "Bloody cheer up love you have won [sic] a million pounds not a tin of biscuits in a raffle."
