With a million different dating trends seeming to spring up ever week, it looks like everyone's playing games in their quest to find The One.
Whether it's the penny method or tricks to 'humble' your love interest to make them 'obsessed' with you - telling people how you really feel is absolutely off the cards.
And now one Aussie man has revealed the one lie all men tell in a relationship. You can see if it rings true for you below:

Many women, however, were having none of it - and refused to believe their boyfriends were all telling the same fib.
One wrote: “Do not make us delulu.”
Another wrote: “Why would you say that?”
“Don't lie to me, I'm fragile!” another demanded.

So what is this grand conspiracy Jake says all men are pulling?
He said: "To all the ladies out there with a boyfriend who's always saying, 'I don't want to get married'.
"We say that for attention. We want you to say, ‘No, but I want to marry you so bad'."

Now, it’s not a far out theory. A woman named Marina Neuman recently admitted to doing the same thing back at men, telling dates: "You're lovely, I've had a great time, but I'm really just looking to date for marriage at this point and I don't see this becoming something serious."
However, some women were thrown into a spin by Jake's claim, with one writing: “I feel like I have never come across a guy who's just joking.
“I wouldn't trust it.”
However some people were in total agreement about the psychology behind it.
A woman shared: “Oh, well this explains why my ex got so mad after he said this to all his mates in front of me and I said 'I don't expect to marry you anyway'.”

But others thought the situation showed men finally connecting with their feminine energy.
Someone wrote: “Men are actually such girlies it's so funny.”
“Men want to be the princess so bad,” another wrote.
A third wasn’t pleased: “This gives me the ick. It's giving girl energy. Men pursue women for marriage, not the other way around.”

Another said: “Nah, it's just immature and not knowing what you want. If you can't say 'I wanna marry you so bad' too, then you don't deserve her."
It appears that the podcaster revealed a little too much for people to handle as discussions about the validity of his claim continued at length.
But it’s pretty cute if it’s true.
