Stranger Things Season 4: Release Date, Trailer And Cast

Following the exciting news that Stranger Things has been confirmed for a fourth season, Netflix fans can’t wait to see what’s in-store.

Following the exciting news that Stranger Things has been confirmed for a fourth season, Netflix fans can’t wait to see what’s in-store for the dramatic sci-fi series.

It’s been three years since home-viewers saw the likes of Eleven, Mike and the rest of the group parting ways at the end of season three, as they set off for their first year of high school.

Pretty soon, the wait will soon be over as the streaming giant has shared the release date and some painstaking teasers as the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, have opted to split the series into two volumes.

So, for all the eager Stranger Things fans alike, here’s all the info you need to know.

What will happen in season 4 of Stranger Things?

Warning - Stranger Things season three spoilers ahead.

If you can cast your mind back to three years ago, when season three of Stranger Things was aired, you’ll remember the catastrophic Battle of Starcourt.

Well, season four of the series is set to take place just six months after the fallout from the battle.

The fourth installment will also see the protagonists being apart for the first time, as Eleven and Will move away from Hawkins to California, while Hopper is presumed to be dead.

The series will, however, span across four different locations. One of the new spots the gang are gathered in is Russia, according to a Netflix teaser poster, where Hopper happens to be currently located.

When is the Stranger Things season 4 release date?

Netflix have confirmed that Volume One of Stranger Things will be released on 27th May 2022, while Volume Two will follow on 1st July 2022.

The series will then conclude for good with a fifth season, the show’s creators have confirmed.

What does the cast look like for Stranger Things season 4?

Viewers can safely expect the return of popular characters from Stranger Things, like: Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin).

Also returning to fans’ screens are Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Will (Noah Schnapp), Max (Sadie Sink), Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Robin (Maya Hawke) and Joyce (Winona Ryder), and more.

David Harbour has also confirmed his return as Hopper, despite the sad season three ending. The actor previously explained to Total Film that his character “had to change” and “resurrect in some way” in the upcoming season.

However, at this point, it’s not clear how Harbour’s role survived that ending.
