Rich House Poor House mum in tears as millionaire 'changes her life' after clearing debts

The mum wanted to set up her own business

A single mum was left in tears after a millionaire couple changed her life on Rich House Poor House.

Young mum Natalie, from Gateshead, wanted to earn more money to provide a better life for her daughter Ava and said she one day wanted to open her own nail business.

However, she felt that due to the cost of training courses and buying the materials to set herself up the dream was out of reach.

Natalie, who works part time in a garage, explained that she had taken out a loan to help buy some items for her business but now she was paying it back monthly - with interest - adding to her bills.

After paying all her bills, Natalie has just £60 to live off.

Natalie explained: “There have been times where I have literally had nothing and I haven't been able to cover priority bills.”

On the show, Natalie swapped lives with wealthy Dr Rashpal Singh and his wife Kiran, who run a successful cosmetic business.

They were sympathetic to Natalie’s situation and explained that they had not grown up wealthy but had worked hard to get where they were today.

Dr Singh said: “When we grew up, we didn't have everything.

“What people don't realise is just how difficult it can be with such a small budget.”

As the week went on, the couple said they would like to help Natalie pay off her debts and thought up ways to help her get set up in business.

The couple visited other local nail technicians to get advice and then gave Natalie a life-changing opportunity.

When the three met for the first time, Natalie was left in tears when the couple told her they would pay off the debt she owed for buying a laptop - and, in the hopes of helping her build her nail career, they also offered to pay for Natalie to go on course in nails and nail art.

In emotional scenes Natalie said: "This is going to completely change my life. I'm more than grateful."

And it didn’t stop there - the couple also told Natalie that they had a potential job lined up for her to work with someone who had two decades in the nail industry, which could lead to a full-time job.

Seeing what the Singhs achieved helped inspire Natalie, as she explained: “They've literally come from nothing and they've got all this.

“So yeah, I'm struggling now but I could have all this.”
