Phillip Schofield's £1 million deal with We Buy Any Car has come to an end

Phillip Schofield's £1 million We Buy Any Car partnership has come to an end, it has been confirmed.
The This Morning presenter had been the face of the car buying company for the past five years, appearing in its promotional campaigns in the long-running endorsement deal.
However, the deal was contracted for five years and earlier this year, a mutual agreement was made for it to come to an end in 2022, leaving the spot open for a new big name to take on the role.
Although some have questioned whether the decision was due to the whole queue-jumping saga, We Buy Any Car has made it clear that the agreement was made long before then and had nothing to do with the news.
In a statement shared with LADbible, a spokesperson said: "We Buy Any Car and Phillip Schofield agreed earlier this year that the We Buy Any Car/Phillip Schofield campaign would come to an end in 2022, having worked together for over five years.
"The decision was made prior to any recent stories regarding Phillip."
In other Schofield news, ITV bosses recently confirmed his and Holly Willoughby's jobs at This Morning are safe following a petition to have them removed from the show.
The petition was launched after the pair bypassed those who had queued for hours to see the late Queen lying in state earlier this month.

Despite the fact that Holly and Phil made it clear that they did not take anyone's spot in the line and had simply been taken to see the coffin as part of a press visit in order to cover it on This Morning, that didn't stop people from kicking off on social media.
And this week, an ITV official spoke out to confirm the pair will not be losing their presenting jobs.
Dame Carolyn McCall, the chief executive of ITV, said Holly and Phil have been 'misrepresented' over claims they skipped the queue and other mourners.
Speaking at the RTS London Convention, Dame Carolyn was asked what the presenting duo did wrong, to which she responded: "Honestly, nothing. Honestly. They did have accreditation.
"Lots of people saying they didn’t. They were sent by This Morning to do a piece for September 20, which ran.

"They were to interview people inside and outside. They didn’t displace anyone in the queue. And they’ve been very misrepresented, actually."
She added: "And that’s why we made a statement. Unusually, we made a statement to say all of those things.
"But it does show you how things spread and how misinformation just spreads. And it is really horrible for them."
