A Netflix mini-series has been hailed as 'perfect' by fans as it captures the re-telling of a horrible true story.
The critically acclaimed TV series was released on Netflix in 2019 and boasts an impressive critics' score of 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Following its release, the series was nominated for 11 Emmys and won two, while being nominated for and winning a number of other awards, such as the Critics' Choice Awards.
Within just one month of its release, Netflix revealed that the mini-series had been streamed by 23 million people.

The crime drama focuses on The Central Park jogger case in 1989 that occurred in New York City.
After a woman was sexually assaulted while jogging through Central Park, five young males of colour were prosecuted, and the series centres on them as the protagonists and documents their lives.
They were convicted by juries of varying charges, with sentences ranging from five to 15 years.
However, they were exonerated in 2002 when the real perpetrator was found and filed a suit against the city the following year, winning a settlement in 2014.

The story explores racism in America, and how difficult it may be to find justice in the US too.
Kevin Richardson, Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, Korey Wise and Raymond Santana were the names of the 'Central Park Five', as they were labelled, as the series follows them for 25 years, from their arrest to the settlement.

Directed by Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Ava DuVernay, the hard-hitting series hit screens to overwhelmingly positive reactions, scoring a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score and 8.4/10 on IMDb.
Viewers of the 2019 series also found it to be extremely insightful, with IMDb users leaving reviews for the film.
One user posted: "This is one of the most beautiful and emotional mini series of the year so far. Well directed, excellent character building, amazing acting and well scripted. It touches your soul and cries out your heart. Thank you, Netflix!"
