A number of Netflix viewers are calling Kane Robinson's new film the 'worst movie' they've ever seen, despite a positive rating from critics.
The British science-fiction drama stars the likes of Top Boy's Robinson, Jedaiah Bannerman, ex-footballer Ian Wright, Hope Ikpoku Jr, Teija Kabs, Demmy Ladipo, Cristale, and BackRoad Gee.
Set in a dystopian London, the gap between the rich and poor has been stretched to a breaking point as the film follows Izi (Robinson) and 12-year-old Benji (Bannerman).

As social housing is being eliminated, Izi plans to leave before he's confronted with a tough choice after meeting Benji.

Now, a name you're probably surprised to see is Ian Wright, as he plays the charismatic DJ trying to keep a community together in the face of destruction.

Speaking about his acting role on Capital Breakfast with Roman, Chris and Sian, Wrighty said he was 'really nervous' while auditioning and kept checking with producer Daniel Kaluuya if he was doing alright.
The former Arsenal and England footballer admitted he was 'out of my comfort zone'.
He said: "I love acting, I love watching films and all of a sudden you’re in a film where you’re having to portray something that is vitally important to what’s going on.
"Being the voice of the community and giving the news and bulletins going on, so it’s a vital role, I had a lot of dialogue.

Despite having such a promising premise, some viewers aren't getting the storyline at all, with one person tweeting: "The Kitchen on Netflix had no storyline. Just dramatic for nothing. Didn’t make sense. They put the whole movie in the trailer too."
"The Kitchen might be the worst movie I’ve seen on Netflix," a second added.
"Can’t believe I just watched the whole The Kitchen absolutely f**king terrible. Dunno how it’s made it to Netflix that," penned a third.

Though it received an 'Audience Score' of 58 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, critics gave it an overwhelming 84 percent.
"Tavares and Kaluuya have realised a truly compelling and realistic dystopian film that doesn't ignore our present, with strong performances and savvy world-building," one wrote.

As another added: "A very robust debut that lingers in your mind after."
"The Kitchen is provocative, robust, and cerebral cinematic candy for the brain," a third also thought.
