First trailer for Netflix's Teletubbies reboot is here

The reboot is set to be released next month

If you want to feel like a kid again, then kick off your shoes, grab some juice and settle in to watch the trailer for the reboot of Teletubbies.

That's right, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po are back bouncing about in the luscious green hills of their home, which comes complete with a clear blue sky and a sunshine filled with a baby.

Whether you're in it for the trip or just to escape adult life for a while, the reboot is sure to transport you back to your childhood when it arrives on Netflix next month.

The new series is being narrated by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actor Tituss Burgess, who can be heard in the trailer announcing that Teletubbies love 'tubby custard' and 'dancing'.

“Teletubbies love the Tiddlytubbies and the Teletubbies love each other very much,” the voiceover continues.

Rachelle Beinart, Rebecca Hyland, Nick Chee Ping Kellington and Jeremiah Krage are donning the iconic, colourful costumes to bring the four Teletubbies back to our television screens in the streaming era, while the 'Tummy Tales' segment will be hosted by Julia Pulo.

The refresh will feature new adventures and new songs.

A synopsis for the reboot explains that Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po will take viewers on 'wonder-filled adventures as they learn and grow in this 21st century refresh of the beloved preschool series'.

Each episode is set to include new, original 'Tummy Tales' songs which promise to have 'the entire family' - or just you and your mates - dancing along.

The series will arrive as 26 episodes, each at a manageable 12 minutes long. If you're in for one epic binge session, that's five hours and 20 minutes to get through the whole thing.

Though Netflix describes the original Teletubbies as a 'preschool series', the reboot has caught the attention of Netflix users much older as many people have responded to share their thoughts on the series online.

Some Netflix users can't wait for the new series.

While some people out there are intrigued to see what adventures the new series will bring, others have slammed the streaming service for the decision to 'refresh' the series.

"NO NO NO WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS @NETFLIX WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU," one less than impressed person commented, while another wrote: "What’s the point of rebooting something like the Teletubbies and making everything look cheaper and lamer?"

On the flip side, another person commented: "i know what i’ll be watching on November 14 on Netflix."

The new series of Teletubbies is set to arrive on Netflix on 14 November.
