Maitland Ward 'hasn't heard from' some Boy Meets World co-stars since going into porn career

Maitland Ward 'hasn't heard from' some Boy Meets World co-stars since going into porn career

Maitland Ward has revealed that she has 'not heard a word' from some of her Boy Meets World co-stars since starting her porn career

Maitland Ward claimed she 'hasn't heard a word' from some of her Boy Meets World co-stars since starting her career in the porn industry.

Ward starred in the hit 90s sitcom as Rachel McGuire in the last two seasons, but said that her adult film career following the show has meant that she's lost contact with some fellow actors.

She went on to say that she was the only cast member not on the 2014 reboots of the show, Girl Meets World.

Ward made the comments while being interviewed for the Skinny Confidential podcast, explaining: "I didn't really get any response from anyone."

She noted, however, that co-stars Trina McGee and Will Friedle were supportive: "Trina did. She supported me in the beginning and Will has contacted me since then and says he supports me, but won't watch anything that I do."

But that, for the most part, "the rest, I have not heard a word from."

Ward explained that while she hasn't received backlash from the co-stars, she still hasn't had communication from them: "I haven't heard like, 'Oh, you're terrible.'

"But I kind of felt like I was just gone from them—like, we don't want anything to do with you anymore. Especially, it was with the Girl Meets World thing. I was the only cast member not to be on the show.

"And I wasn't even doing porn at that time. I was just doing my cosplay and getting red carpet pictures and doing that."

She went on to add: "So, I think Disney was definitely instrumental in not having me back and I don't think some of the cast wanted me back either."

Despite not hearing from some of her co-stars, Ward is proud of her award-winning porn career, as she told USA Today, she doesn't want to play 'the mum next door.'

"It was like I was in their television as this person that I always had to be for the rest of my life. And eventually, I had to just crack the screen and get out."

And she's successfully broken out of that typecast, explaining: "I was told over and over again by publicists and by people in Hollywood, 'No one wants to see you sexy'.

"It’s been so liberating these past few years to really be myself, to show people who I am and defy what Hollywood’s expectations were of me."

Maitland explains her journey into porn in her new memoir titled Rated X.
