Classic Liam Gallagher moment is absolute comedy gold as Oasis star turns 50 today

The clip from 2016 documentary Supersonic shows the Oasis frontman at his mischievous best.

Liam Gallagher once sang: 'Where were you while we were getting high?' Well, we think we may have uncovered exactly where the Rock 'N' Roll Star was and it makes for hilarious viewing:

To mark Gallagher's 50th birthday, we've dug out one of the funniest clips from 2016 documentary Supersonic, which charts the rise of Oasis.

As one of the wildest rock-bands of the era, their story is certainly an absorbing one, as we see how two brothers from Manchester took the music world by storm - culminating in two legendary sets at Knebworth in 1996.

At one point in the film, we see behind the scenes footage of the band in what appears to be a dressing room, just before they are due to perform on a breakfast show.

Taken during the early years, it shows a giggly Noel standing behind Liam, who launches into a hilarious and utterly bewildering monologue.

At the start of the clip, the frontman refers to Boyzone being in a nearby room, before mimicking the Irish boyband with a decent enough impression.

At one point, older brother Noel, who is rather typically standing behind Liam, puts his arm on his sibling's shoulder before saying: "This is an advert for not taking drugs." Make of that what you will.

Liam responds with: "I've never been an abuser, I've been a user," in a posh affectation.

This certainly isn't the only time we've seen the pair causing mischief in front of the camera, as there are countless compilations on YouTube of the Oasis boys messing around in interviews.

Sadly for fans of the group, they broke up in 2009, following an explosive row between Liam and Noel.

Both men have since carved out successful solo careers, Liam under his own name, and Noel with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

With both brothers now into their 50s, hope of a reconciliation of some kind is fading fast.

While Liam has hinted that he'd want to put the past behind him in recent interviews, Noel is seemingly finding it harder to forgive and forget.

Last year, the 55-year-old said: "Every Tweet he sends out, its another nail in the coffin of that idea [getting the band back together].

"If you think for one minute I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are more of a f****** moron than you look."

Oasis fans were treated earlier this year, however, when Liam performed back at Knebworth for the first time since the rock group's iconic 1996 set.

Around 150,000 people attended his shows over the course of two nights in June, underlining how popular he continues to be.

Happy 50th Liam. As you were.
