Keanu Reeves shares his four favourite movies of all time

Keanu Reeves shares his four favourite movies of all time

The actor picked the films which have had the biggest impact on him

Keanu Reeves has opened up about his four favourite movies of all time.

The much-loved actor has starred in some classics himself and is clearly a man of great taste, so it would be fascinating to know what he rates most highly - and now we do.

As he attempted to shield himself from the rain as he promoted his new movie John Wick: Chapter 4, the 58-year-old was asked to list his four favourite movies of all time.

Looking pained, he replied: "Four favourite films... I don't know. I'll do some that had some impact in the past."

Fair play, it's a tough question to answer on the spot, so he's eased the pressure on himself somewhat.

First up on this list of impactful films was Eraserhead, a 1977 horror written and directed by David Lynch.

Next up he went and bent the rules a bit, dumping the whole Star Wars franchise.

Again, it's fair enough really. Some people would find it impossible to just pick their favourite Star Wars movie, let alone their four favourite movies of all time, so let's all just cut Keanu some slack.

And for his third selection, Keanu went big again, choosing The Godfather; and once again, it was unclear which in particular he meant (though presumably, it must have been the first or the second).

Finishing off his four, the Matrix star threw it back to the '70s, plumping for the crime drama Serpico, starring Godfather star Al Pacino

Speaking at the premiere of the latest John Wick film in Los Angeles on Monday (20 March), Reeves paid an emotional tribute to his late co-star Lance Reddick.

Reeves said that 'every day was special' while working with Reddick, who was also known for roles in popular US shows The Wire and Lost.

Reddick died last Friday (17 March) at the age of 60 from 'natural causes', according to his publicist.

The actor's death came just days before the release of John Wick 4, in which he reprised his role of impassive hotel concierge Charon.

Reeves wore a blue ribbon and became emotional while discussing his late co-star at the premiere.

"Every time you were in his presence, he was such a special person, special artist, and he had a grace and dignity, and a passion for life and his craft," the star told The Hollywood Reporter.

"Just to be in his light and to be in his presence and get a chance to work with him every day was special."
