Joe Rogan humiliated internet troll by making him tap out

Podcast host Joe Rogan is a black belt in jiu-jitsu.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan once humiliated an internet troll and made him tap out.

Nope, it wasn't someone off Facebook, or Twitter, or TikTok, it was a man off MySpace.

Watch below:

'What's a MySpace?', people under the age of 21 might ask.

From 2005 to 2008, MySpace was the largest social networking site in the world.

And known by the internet as 'the MySpace guy', an unnamed keyboard warrior bravely challenged jiu-jitsu and taekwondo black belt Rogan to a spar in 2006 - and probably regretted it instantly.

Notably, the podcast host doesn't just sit around and talk about fighting - he backs it up too.

A video of the grappling match - which took place at the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu gym in Southern California - went viral.

The clip shows Rogan making the man tap out several times, while catching him in multiple guillotine chokes as well as a rear-naked choke.

At one point we see the UFC host lift the challenger off his feet and throw him to the ground.

The old video also features Eddie Bravo, Rogan’s longtime friend, who looks into the camera and said: "This guy challenged Joe Rogan on Myspace.

"That’s what happens when you challenge Joe Rogan."

Despite being highly skilled in martial arts, age can often catch up with you, especially when you're trying to stay in shape.

The Joe Rogan Experience

Back in February 2020, Rogan revealed he weighed in at 205 pounds (14.5st) - which he said was the 'fattest he had ever been'.

As a result, he opted to try out the carnivore diet, which saw him give up vegetables, fruit, grains, nuts and seeds in favour of raw animal meat, fish and other animal foods like eggs and some dairy products.

Taking to Instagram at the time, the now-55-year-old said: "So I did the carnivore diet for all of January, I lost 12 pounds, gained a tonne of energy - my energy levels were completely flat the whole month, no ups and downs from crashing after eating.

"I had a belly; a lot of people made fun of me, fat-shamed me. I lost all my fat, I lost the belly, I lost my love handles. I don't know if I'm gonna keep eating like this but it was tremendously beneficial.

"I also have an auto-immune disorder, it's called vitiligo, and my vitiligo improved, I had a bunch of white spots fill in, so, I don't know."

Rogan’s weight loss ultimately came at a (smelly) price and caused him horrific diarrhoea.

He added: "There's really only one 'bad' thing, and that thing is diarrhoea."

Yep, not one for me thanks.
