Inbetweeners fans question why deleted poached eggs scene never made movie

Inbetweeners fans question why deleted poached eggs scene never made movie

Fans of the Inbetweeners were sad to learn that the scene had been scrapped, especially given it's surprising Game Of Thrones star cameo

Fans of The Inbetweeners Movie are questioning why a hilarious scene wasn’t included in the final film, after it was shared on TikTok.

The clip from the 2011 movie shows the Inbetweeners boys on holiday in Malia, as they struggle to order breakfast following their first night out on the lash.

Fans of the film and original TV series have been praising the scene, which shows the grim reality of a lads’ holiday.

The short scene opens with Jay Cartwright (James Buckley) angrily counting the bites on his arm, after passing out on an ant hill the night before.

Surrounded by his mates, the gang try to order breakfast but its not long until Will (Simon Bird) begins to complain about the local cuisine.

Having ordered fancy poached eggs, he is then presented with a single fried egg on a piece of dry brown toast.

Whilst it’s not exactly appetizing, the posh teenager can’t help but make a fuss and explains to the waiter what his order was again.

Despite his best efforts, the difference between poached and fried eggs seems to get lost in translation with the boys shortly abandoning breakfast as they head out.

The deleted scene has been shared on social media.

Although this scene was never included in the original film, the short clip was uploaded to Tik Tok by user @Brits_TV and has gained over 1.9 million views in since it was shared.

Fans have been gutted to learn that the short scene was scrapped, with many venting their frustration with comments like ‘they should have kept this in’.

Others have also applauded the deleted scene for how accurate it is, with users tagging their mates and reminiscing about their own holidays.

They were especially shocked that the scene didn’t make the cut given that Games of Thrones actor Miltos Yerolemou also starred as the Malia waiter.

Fans also spotted a familiar face in the clip.

Whilst the scene didn’t make the final film, a version of it still exists in the film with similar lines being used during the balcony scene.

Many fans even pointed this out, with one writing: “They change this scene to a similar one on their hotel balcony which is way better.”

Though some may be gutted that Yerolemou, aka Syrio Forel (the first sword of Bravos), didn’t get included in the theatrical release, others were pleased with the change.

One user even wrote: “As funny as this scene is they definitely done the right decision choosing the balcony scene instead.”
