Fans of The Inbetweeners have been left gobsmacked after learning that actor Henry Lloyd-Hughes – who plays schoolboy bully Donovan in the show – doesn’t actually sound like he might rip your head off in real life.
In fact, Lloyd-Hughes is rather softly spoken, as was demonstrated in a recent TikTok video that showed the star being interviewed on The Inbetweeners set way back when. Watch the clip below:
Stunned comments quickly piled up beneath the clip, with one person writing: “That can't be his real voice.”

Another added: “Sounds posher than Will,” while a third simply penned: “No way.”
“Donovan’s actor is the type of guy Donovan would bully,” quipped a fourth TikToker, with a fifth adding: “Would never believe this.”
Many others left comments along the lines of: “Almost like he’s an actor,” and we are very much here for the sass.
Last month, fans of The Inbetweeners were left gutted after a resurfaced scene from the show’s 2011 film started doing the internet rounds, with many saying they were bummed the skit didn’t make the film’s final cut.

The scene sees Jay and Neil visit a Malia tattoo studio after agreeing to get each other’s names tattooed on them.
Neil goes first, getting ‘Jay, Neil, Malia’ inked onto his back, but both teens are left dismayed when they realise the ‘J’ looks more like a ‘G’, prompting Jay to back out of the deal.
But in classic Neil fashion, he soon gets over his dismay when Jay promises to 'chip in' and get it changed into a tiger back home in the UK.

Fans, delighted by the hilarious scene, shared their regret that it wasn’t kept in the movie, with one writing: “They should have kept this scene!" and another saying: “That would have been the best scene."
However, one wise social media user pointed out that the scene is the definition of continuity hell, penning: “Wouldn't be worth keeping in, 5/10 scene which would cause serious continuity issues that just aren't worth the scene.”
The Inbetweeners Movie famously followed Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas), Jay (James Buckley), and Neil (Blake Harrison) on a lads’ holiday in Malia.
The four pals end up in some pretty dire situations, starting with their hotel, which comes complete with a dead dog and a warning that they’ll be issued a €50 fine if they 'sh*t on [the] floor'.
