I'm a Celeb viewers think they know who Boy George is copying with his look

Someone keep an eye on the back of that man's head

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here viewers can't stop talking about Boy George's alterations to his camp uniform, and think his latest look is inspired by a certain Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher.

In tonight's episode of the ITV series, Boy George took part in the first trial of the 2022 series, alongside Olivia Attwood, Chris Moyles, and Scarlette Douglas to earn stars for their campmates.

When they met up with Ant and Dec, Boy George had made some adjustments to the standard red and khaki green uniform.

Viewers lost it when the 'Karma Chameleon' singer appeared over the horizon with his red jumper wrapped around his head like a cartoonishly large turban - to be fair, Boy George does love an oversized hat, doesn't he?

While it's likely George just tied the cloth around his head to fight off the Australian heat, people couldn't unsee his resemblance to Professor Quirrell from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Harry Potter's first Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher was known for his trademark purple turban which, it turned out, was hiding Lord Voldemort behind.

After Boy George debuted his unusual headpiece, it wasn't long before the tweets started rolling in.

"Professor Quirrell's looking different these days #ImACeleb," tweeted one viewer.

"When you have a Bushtucker Trial at 4, but you have to teach Defence Against The Dark Arts at 5," joked a second.

Posting a photo of Professor Quirrell with Lord Voldemort on the back of his head, a third viewer wrote: "Boy George with his best professor Quirrell cosplay."

This isn't the first time Boy George has done up his I'm A Celeb uniform, either.

In the promo shots for this season of the show, Boy George gave his camp outfit a complete makeover.

While his campmates-to-be all posed in the standard bright red shorts or trousers with a plain khaki shirt and hat, George wore a beige shirt covered in red spots and a hat that had been made to look like a crown - just because he could.

Speaking to Metro about the unusual look, a source from ITV said that it was just a matter of 'if you don't ask you don't get'.

They said: "Apparently, it just came down to Boy George asking if he could customise his shirt for the photoshoot, with ITV immediately granting permission."
